Which way you going, Kenney?
Is United Conservative Party (UCP) leader Jason Kenney speaking out of both sides of his mouth?
When the hated and despised carbon tax was thrust upon us by his Majesty, Pierre, er Justin Trudeau, United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney stepped up like a night in dented armor.
With a bullhorn blast to his base, basically saying get thee behind me for I shall repeal that dastardly carbon tax.
And that’s great.
You know they say you need a little rain to appreciate that bright day.
But this downside so heinous; so, not above-board; talk about leading his sheeple to intellectual slaughter…you get the point.
Ask Kenney a question or two
Good on you Kenny, offering to repeal the carbon tax, I just find it odd you didn’t say what would happen AFTER (should the UCP stumble their way to election victory) he repeals the pollution tax. His sheeple with eyes glazed over like members of a doomsday cult forgot, or didn’t want to ask him that question. Hey Jason, “what happens after you repeal the carbon tax?.
No worries for cult leader Kenney as long as nobody asks, then nobody knows. And what a splendid place for a cult leader to be. And the next sleight of hand for the deceiver or men (most women won’t fall for this, LOL) is his vaunted promise to take the fight all the way to the supreme court.
Wait. What?
Where did that come from? Oh yes, lest we forget the recent visit to Alberta by Ontario Premier Doug Ford the fooler who was in Calgary driving home his “axe the tax”
movement. Side note here, Ford the fooler is in the midst of rolling back minimum wage, eliminating universal basic income and…well, you get the point. He is a Trump wannabe currently destroying Ontario.
Premier Ford the fooler
So, Ford the fooler comes to Alberta to help Kenney show his sheeple another sleight of hand. The trick the deceiver will perform next is his promise to take the fight all the way to the supreme court. That should cost any more than a few million or two.
Seriously?
Isn’t this the same guy that said their plan (if elected) for Alberta is going to hurt. Read between the lines here, hurt is the same thing as “I’m going to cut everything thing from hospital service to police enforcement to the number of government agencies, like Alberta Pensions Services, that are top-heavy in managers. Okay, that last one is not so bad.
But I digress.
Are we talking cutbacks or spending?
Riddle me this – how can Kenney preach painful cutbacks and accountability from one side of his mouth and then talk about spending millions of dollars taking his carbon tax challenge to the supreme court. Is it me or does that seem like a contradiction in the UCP philosophy?
His sheeple, to break from the pack mentality, should but won’t ask him THE question or A question. “Are you preaching belt-tightening or spending buckets of money on a tax fight that Trudeau may win in the end.”
Crickets and more crickets.
Well? Which is it?
